PR Director, EMEA

About the role

Cohere, a security‑first enterprise AI company, is looking for a PR Director to build and lead its public relations and communications function across the EMEA region. You will partner with the global Corporate Communications team to craft regional strategies that support growth among governments and enterprises in highly regulated industries.

Key responsibilities

• Build a PR and Communications function from the ground up, hiring PR managers and agencies in key territories (UK, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Brussels).
• Implement PR and corporate communications strategies aligned with organisational goals, values and brand positioning.
• Partner with PR, marketing, sales and external stakeholders to create clear, compelling messaging for business priorities and market positioning.
• Develop rapid‑response capabilities in each region.
• Oversee executive speaking engagements, industry conferences, customer events and internal leadership gatherings.
• Integrate AI tools to enhance content ideation, creation and scaling for the communications team.
• Manage the EMEA communications channel ecosystem, including earned media, owned channels, executive communications and employee engagement.

Required profile

• Strong storytelling ability to convey Cohere’s AI narrative at scale.
• Experience building PR or communications functions in a fast‑growing, technology‑focused environment.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with global and regional teams.
