Private Equity Associate – Munich

About the role

A mid‑cap private equity firm based in Munich is seeking an Associate to join its investment team. The role sits at the core of the deal process, providing exposure to sourcing, execution, and post‑investment portfolio management across the fund’s mid‑market strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct market, company, and financial analysis to evaluate private equity investment opportunities.
• Build and maintain detailed financial models; perform valuation work and due diligence for potential acquisitions.
• Prepare investment memoranda, presentations, and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Monitor portfolio company performance and support strategic initiatives after investment.
• Collaborate with senior team members to source new deals and contribute to fund strategy discussions.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
• Strong analytical skills with hands‑on experience in financial modeling and valuation.
• Fluency in both German and English, written and spoken.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with financial databases is an advantage.
