Private Equity Associate / Senior Associate

About the role

We are partnering with a respected middle‑market private equity firm in Munich to expand its investment team. The Associate / Senior Associate will work across the full investment lifecycle, supporting platform acquisitions, add‑ons, portfolio management, and exits for founder‑led and family‑owned businesses in the DACH region.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate new investment opportunities across multiple sectors.
• Build and maintain financial models, conduct valuation and commercial assessments.
• Support due‑diligence processes and transaction execution.
• Prepare investment committee memoranda and presentations.
• Collaborate with management teams and portfolio companies to drive value‑creation initiatives.
• Monitor portfolio performance and assist with exit planning.
• Engage with advisors, lenders, and other transaction stakeholders.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of experience in Investment Banking, Private Equity, Transaction Services, or a related field.
• Strong academic background.
• Fluent in German and English.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment.
