Process Engineer – Automation Projects

About the role

As a Process Engineer you will own end‑to‑end improvement projects across Rohlik’s fulfillment network – from identifying slow, costly or manual processes to delivering live, working solutions on the warehouse floor. Projects span both hardware (robotics, automated material handling, conveyor and packing systems) and software (control logic and orchestration optimisation).

Key responsibilities

• Identify improvement potential across the fulfillment network – on the floor, in data, and with operations teams.
• Own the business case for each opportunity, quantifying throughput gains, labour impact, payback period and preparing capex/opex estimates.
• Design, test, install, integrate and pilot physical automation or software/control changes, coordinating internal teams, vendors and contractors.
• Standardise delivered work into reusable templates, playbooks and best practices.
• Partner with Procurement and Operations throughout the lifecycle – from requirements and RFIs/RFQs to commercial negotiation and handover.
• Feed insights from delivered projects into the group automation roadmap and warehouse planning concepts.

Required profile

• Degree in engineering, technical/analytical field or equivalent hands‑on experience.
• 3+ years of experience in warehouse automation (robotics, AMRs, AutoStore, sorters, conveyors, packing systems) and end‑to‑end process improvement.
• Strong analytical skills for spreadsheet business modelling and floor‑level process evaluation.
• Proven project‑management ability to align Operations, Engineering, Finance and external vendors.
• Professional proficiency in English (written and spoken) and willingness to work regularly on‑site at fulfillment centres.
