Processing Technician I

About the role

Precision for Medicine is seeking a Processing Technician I to join its Berlin laboratory. The role focuses on receiving, inventorying, and processing fresh patient samples, supporting clinical trial workflows and biomarker research.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and inventory incoming fresh biological samples in the electronic BSI database.
• Perform cell isolations, plasma fractionations, serum separations, and cryopreservation of isolated cells.
• Prepare laboratory reagents and create data collection sheets.
• Conduct equipment preventive maintenance and maintain laboratory organization.
• Execute cell thawing, cell counting, and generate whole‑blood aliquots.
• Participate in a rotating Saturday shift schedule with a compensatory day off.
• Order, inspect, and manage lab supplies; respond to freezer alarms per SOP.
• Document all activities in the LIMS system and support additional projects as assigned.

Required profile

• Associate degree in Biology, Chemistry, Life Sciences or equivalent experience.
• Minimum six months of laboratory experience performing pipetting and GLP‑compliant procedures.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent documentation skills, and ability to work well in a team.
• Fluent reading, writing, and speaking in English; German language skills are a plus.
