Procurement Expert

About the role

We are establishing a new Procurement function at ISCC’s headquarters in Cologne and are looking for a Procurement Expert to own and continuously improve end‑to‑end procurement and vendor management across the group. The role combines strategic sourcing, contract negotiation and sustainability‑focused procurement in a fast‑growing, certified Great Place to Work® environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, own and optimise the full procurement lifecycle, from supplier sourcing to onboarding, purchasing and vendor management.
• Request, evaluate and compare quotations, proposals and offers, and negotiate commercial terms, pricing and conditions.
• Coordinate procurement for software, IT services, licences, equipment and operational services.
• Serve as the primary contact for supplier‑related matters and support contract coordination with Legal.
• Identify, assess and mitigate procurement, supplier and operational risks while ensuring compliance with internal policies and approval workflows.
• Maintain procurement records, supplier documentation and reporting; monitor supplier performance, contractual obligations and renewals.
• Develop and maintain procurement templates, guidelines and operational procedures.
• Represent Procurement in cross‑functional collaboration with Finance, Legal, IT, Office Management and operational teams, and support audits and due‑diligence activities.

Required profile

• University degree in Business Administration, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Economics, Law or a related field, or completed commercial vocational training with relevant experience.
• Minimum 3 years of post‑graduate experience in procurement, purchasing or vendor management.
• Proven expertise in end‑to‑end procurement processes, supplier sourcing, contract negotiation and commercial procurement.
• Experience with supplier due diligence, contract coordination, procurement governance and process optimisation.
• Familiarity with sustainability‑ and ESG‑related procurement requirements is a strong advantage.
