Procurement Specialist – Operational Purchasing & Strategic Sourcing

About the role

The Strategic Sourcer – Indirect Procurement will support day‑to‑day purchasing activities while contributing to strategic sourcing and category management initiatives within an international HVAC organization.

Key responsibilities

• Execute operational procurement processes in ERP systems, including purchase orders, order tracking and invoice verification for indirect categories.
• Ensure continuous supply of indirect materials and services for manufacturing and operations.
• Maintain and support catalog‑based purchasing solutions.
• Handle supplier communication regarding orders, deliveries and invoicing.
• Assist Category Management with RFQs, sourcing requests, price negotiations and supplier analyses.
• Participate in project‑based sourcing activities and contract implementations.
• Act as the interface between plants, internal stakeholders and suppliers.

Required profile

• Experience in procurement or sourcing, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of operational purchasing processes.
• Exposure to strategic sourcing or category management is an advantage.
• Experience in an international, multi‑site organization is preferred.
• Structured, reliable and solution‑oriented working style.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Fluent English; very good German and/or French skills.
