Procurement & Supply Chain Specialist for Drones & Embedded Electronics

About the role

As a Procurement & Supply Chain Specialist you will own the supplier network, logistics and trade‑compliance backbone that gets autonomy hardware built and fielded for UAV and defense systems. Your work will directly support Europe’s defense capabilities by ensuring the right components arrive on time, at quality, and fully compliant.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute procurement and material planning for standard, COTS and designed parts across electronics, sensors, mechanical components and assemblies.
• Identify and acquire best‑in‑market components by translating engineering requirements into structured supplier choices, RFQs and trade‑off decisions.
• Hold suppliers, contractors and contract manufacturers accountable for on‑time, on‑quality delivery and drive issues through to resolution.
• Strengthen the European supply chain through on‑shoring, second‑sourcing, forward‑thinking contracting and stockpiling.
• Organise shipping and external logistics while ensuring compliant handling of customs, end‑use declarations, permits, BAFA‑related topics and Incoterms.

Required profile

• 2+ years of end‑to‑end experience in supply chain management for embedded systems, ideally in avionics, UAVs or similarly demanding hardware.
• Ability to rank sensors, electronics and other technical components against engineering specs and practical system needs.
• Clear and effective communication across engineering, suppliers, logistics partners and contractors.
• Highly dependable in structuring projects, procurement flows and data.
• Familiarity with contract manufacturing, BAFA‑relevant workflows and Incoterms.
• Fluent English; German is a strong plus.
