Product Manager Optical Components (f/m/d)

About the role

Excelitas Technologies, a global technology leader in photonic solutions for illumination, optics, detection and imaging, is looking for a Product Manager Optical Components in Göttingen, Germany. The role covers the full product lifecycle and drives the strategic development of the Optical Components product family.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the entire product lifecycle, from development and market introduction through series production to phase-out
• Take ownership of the Optical Components product family and drive its strategic development
• Monitor, analyze and continuously optimize the profitability of the product portfolio
• Develop and implement product strategies together with cross-functional teams
• Prepare and maintain customer-facing quotations, proposals and supporting documentation
• Support new product launches, product modifications and end-of-life activities
• Act as the key interface between technology, sales and business functions

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Physics or a related field
• At least three years of professional experience in product management or in an industrial technology environment
• Additional business qualifications or demonstrated commercial experience are a strong advantage
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally

Required skills

• Strong understanding of technical concepts and business principles
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to work across functions and cultures
• Fluent written and spoken English and German
