Production Coordinator – Aircraft Surface Protection Programs

About the role

We are seeking a Production Coordinator to lead daily operations for our Aircraft Surface Protection line in Hamburg. You will manage a team of four Team Leaders, stay present on the shop floor, and act as the primary contact for customers throughout project execution.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily production for surface protection and coating projects from start to finish.
• Maintain a visible presence on the floor, identify bottlenecks and resolve them promptly.
• Coach and develop the four Team Leaders, providing direction and support.
• Step in on performance or personnel issues when necessary.
• Serve as the main customer liaison, attending meetings, audits and reviews.
• Ensure compliance with quality specifications and safety procedures.
• Track KPIs for safety, quality, delivery and productivity.
• Manage project costs and report status.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience managing production teams in manufacturing, aerospace, aviation or coatings environments.
• Proven ability to lead through supervisors while staying close to the shop floor.
• Track record of delivering projects on time, on spec and on budget.
• Strong customer‑facing skills and fluency in German and English.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office for reporting and communication.
