Production Measurement Maintenance Technician (m/w/d)

About the role

As a Production Measurement Maintenance Technician you will ensure the operational availability of a wide range of inline and at‑line measurement and vision systems at the Gigafactory Berlin‑Brandenburg. You will plan and execute both planned and unplanned maintenance, working closely with the maintenance team to improve equipment reliability and minimise downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Check and correct errors on measurement systems using Siemens HMI faceplates.
• Troubleshoot line downtimes with Siemens HMI, alarm systems, SCADA data and graph programs.
• Maintain and troubleshoot measurement systems such as Nikon laser radars, Eines Vision Tunnels and Polyrix measurement devices.
• Perform calibration, dynamic/static tests and manual measurement tests to ensure system reliability.
• Document inspections, tests and defects in detailed reports.
• Implement preventive maintenance tasks and analyse recurring errors to propose countermeasures.
• Execute independent maintenance, repair and electrical troubleshooting on measurement equipment.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and external providers to resolve maintenance issues.

Required profile

• Completed vocational training as Electrician, Electronics Technician or Mechatronics Engineer (recognised in Germany).
• Professional experience in an industrial environment.
• Willingness to work in a shift system, including weekends as needed.
• Readiness to work on suspended platforms.
• Good English skills; German language is an advantage.
• Commitment to sustainability and adherence to Tesla’s EHS&S policy.

Required skills

• Siemens HMI operation and troubleshooting.
• PLC programming and knowledge of Ladder, Function Block Diagram and Graph languages.
• Experience with measurement systems: Nikon laser radars, Eines Vision Tunnels, Polyrix devices.
• Calibration, dynamic/static testing and manual measurement procedures.
• Electrical system troubleshooting.
• Kuka and Fanuc robot programming (bonus).
