Professorship in Sustainable & Digital Entrepreneurship (W2)

About the role

The university is establishing a new W2 professorship dedicated to Sustainable and Digital Entrepreneurship. The position is full‑time (100 %) with a teaching load of 18 semester hours per week and an initial fixed‑term contract of two years.

Key responsibilities

• Co‑design and develop the Master’s programme in Technology Business Management, including student recruitment.
• Deliver master‑level lectures and live masterclasses in English on topics such as sustainable entrepreneurship, digital strategy, circular‑economy innovation, business ethics and AI‑enabled sustainability.
• Supervise student projects, master’s theses and design assessment formats, including portfolio evaluations.
• Lead practice‑oriented research and transfer projects on sustainable and digital entrepreneurship, circular‑economy transformation and AI‑driven business‑model innovation in collaboration with industry partners.
• Initiate and manage third‑party research funding and collaborative projects.
• Publish research results in academic journals and present at conferences and industry events.
• Participate in university governance, programme development and international cooperation.

Required profile

• Eligibility for a W2 professorship under German university regulations.
• Ability to teach in English at the master’s level.
• Experience in applied research and industry collaboration in sustainability, digital entrepreneurship or related fields.
• Willingness to engage in knowledge transfer, start‑up activities and patent applications.
