Project Engineer (Site Coordinator)

About the role

Eng.Co Group is seeking a Project Engineer to act as the on‑site coordinator for construction activities in Hesse. The role ensures that contractors execute tasks efficiently, safely, and in line with project objectives, while supporting planning and optimisation of site‑based work.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the focal point for all field‑based construction activities, ensuring high‑quality delivery aligned with client procedures and safety standards.
• Champion a strong HSSE culture by integrating safety into daily tasks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Manage daily interfaces with contractors, lead coordination meetings, monitor performance, and address resource or schedule issues.
• Oversee daily construction activities, guaranteeing adherence to schedules, safety protocols, quality expectations, and environmental standards.
• Support Project Engineers and Project Managers with early‑stage planning, execution methodology, scheduling, and cost optimisation.
• Coordinate design communication between contractors, Eng.Co’s design centre, and project stakeholders, and facilitate work package briefings.
• Collaborate with client site leadership and procurement to align contractor performance expectations for safety, quality, reporting, and invoicing.

Required profile

• Proven experience in on‑site construction coordination or project engineering.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and Permit‑to‑Work processes.
• Ability to manage multiple contractors, resources, and schedules simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to liaise with design teams, clients, and on‑site personnel.
