Project Engineer – Wind Farm & SCADA Systems

About the role

We are looking for a Project Engineer to lead technical planning for wind farm installations and associated SCADA cabinet concepts. The role involves translating customer requirements into detailed designs, ensuring secure remote access and reliable data interfaces.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate and track technical requirements for wind farm projects.
• Design wind farm layouts and SCADA cabinet configurations.
• Define and implement remote access solutions (VPN, IPsec).
• Identify and specify data interfaces such as OPC XML‑DA, OPC UA and SQL databases.
• Design VLAN structures to connect customer equipment.
• Coordinate with specialist departments to deliver customer‑specific solutions.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering Informatics, Technical Informatics or a comparable qualification.
• At least three years of professional experience in an international industrial environment.
• Basic knowledge of database structures and project management.
• Fluent German and English (written and spoken); Spanish is a plus.
• Confident communication style for clarifying technical issues with customers.
• Willingness to travel up to 30 % of the time.
