Project Manager – Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)

About the role

HyperStrong is seeking a Project Manager to lead Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects across Europe. The role combines end‑to‑end project delivery, customer liaison and cross‑border coordination to ensure successful installation and commissioning of large‑scale storage solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of overseas BESS projects, from factory acceptance testing (FAT) through transportation, installation, commissioning and grid connection.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, budgets and resource allocations, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
• Act as the primary contact for customers, translating requirements into actionable plans and keeping stakeholders aligned.
• Identify and mitigate risks, monitor milestones and provide regular status updates to internal and external parties.
• Coordinate resources between China‑based engineering teams and European project teams, fostering effective multicultural collaboration.
• Build and sustain relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers and other stakeholders to achieve high satisfaction.
• Travel to project sites across Europe to support commissioning, resolve technical or commercial issues and oversee on‑site activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering, Engineering Management or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of project management experience, preferably in BESS, renewable energy, power systems, EPC or large‑scale industrial projects.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules and cross‑functional teams in an international environment.
