Project Manager – Technical Facilities (Life Sciences)

About the role

IPS is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead technically complex facilities projects for the life‑science industry from its German office. You will oversee the full project lifecycle, from planning and design through construction and commissioning, ensuring delivery on scope, schedule, cost and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver projects successfully, meeting defined scope, budget, schedule and quality targets.
• Coordinate engineering functions, manage client interactions and align project teams.
• Develop and present proposals, attend pre‑bid meetings and support new business development.
• Identify, assess and mitigate project risks in partnership with senior leadership.
• Control project scope, issue scope change notifications and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including minutes, action items, execution plans and monthly financial and schedule reports.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of project delivery experience, with at least 5 years in a Project Management role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related technical discipline.
• Proven experience in manufacturing facility design for the life‑science sector and hands‑on construction exposure.
• Strong understanding of Earned Value Management and other project‑control methodologies.
• Commitment to safety and ability to work on client sites in a field‑based, safety‑sensitive environment.
