Quality Assessment Expert – Global QA Role

About the role

The Quality Assessment Expert plays a pivotal role in overseeing and executing comprehensive quality assessments across METRO entities worldwide. This position ensures compliance with METRO's Global Quality Standards and provides actionable insights to senior management for continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and conduct Global QA assessments for METRO countries, International Trading Offices, and FSD companies.
• Perform remote and on‑site assessments, including visits to stores, depots, production sites and other facilities, requiring extensive international travel.
• Evaluate assessment results, align findings with assessed entities and communicate outcomes through professional reports and closing meetings.
• Prepare, review and present assessment reports and key findings to senior management, including the SVP Quality Assurance.
• Monitor and support achievement of Global QA assessment KPIs and contribute to governance and performance reporting.
• Develop, maintain and improve assessment methodologies, standards, checklists and guidance documents.
• Support Ultra Fresh Operations initiatives by creating training materials and operational guidance related to food safety and quality.
• Participate in cross‑functional projects aimed at food safety, quality assurance and operational excellence.

Required profile

• Deep knowledge of HACCP and GQA standards.
• Proven experience in conducting quality management system assessments.
• Strong ability to communicate findings to senior stakeholders.
