Quality Engineer – Eurofighter & Tornado Software & Avionics

About the role

Airbus Defence and Space seeks a Quality Engineer to lead quality assurance for Eurofighter and Tornado software and avionic projects. You will act as the guardian of conformity, ensuring customer quality requirements are met throughout product development and service support.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and manage quality assurance processes for avionics systems, software and hardware in line with standards such as DO-178, DO-254 and AQAP.
• Prepare Quality Plans and compile evidence to demonstrate compliance.
• Monitor, control and develop internal and external suppliers to guarantee adherence to customer requirements and defined procedures.
• Identify quality issues during development and in‑service phases, perform root‑cause analysis, define corrective actions and ensure their closure.
• Prepare and lead discussions with customers, suppliers and certification authorities.
• Release products, test equipment and related quality documentation.

Required profile

• Experience with quality assurance for avionics, software and hardware systems.
• Familiarity with aerospace standards (DO-178, DO-254, AQAP).
• Proven ability to work with internal and external suppliers and manage stakeholder communication.
• Strong analytical skills for root‑cause analysis and corrective‑action planning.
