Quality Manager – Aerospace & Automotive Manufacturing

About the role

As a Quality Manager you will report directly to senior management and take full ownership of the quality management system at a manufacturing site in Northern Germany. You will ensure that quality processes are applied consistently, lead a small team of quality professionals, and act as the primary liaison for internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organise and oversee the quality management system in line with industry standards.
• Maintain and continuously improve the quality manual and related documentation.
• Prepare for, conduct and support internal and external audits.
• Investigate root causes of non‑conformities and implement corrective actions.
• Lead, coach and develop a small team of quality specialists.
• Participate in cross‑functional projects and quality improvement circles.
• Report annually on the effectiveness and compliance of the QM system to senior leadership.

Required profile

• 7+ years of quality experience in electrical, aerospace, aviation, automotive or mechanical engineering environments.
• Several years in a quality management leadership role within a regulated manufacturing setting.
• Certified Quality Management Representative, Internal/External Auditor or equivalent.
• Fluent German and good English communication skills.

Required skills

• Experience with IATF 16949, EN 9100, IRIS/ISO 22163 or similar quality standards.
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems, audit procedures and technical documentation.
• Root‑cause analysis and corrective‑action implementation.
