Reality Capture Technician – Laser Scanning & Point Cloud Specialist

About the role

Murphy Geospatial, a Woolpert company, is looking for a Reality Capture Technician to join its Special Projects team in Dresden. The role focuses on processing and managing terrestrial laser scan data for a major semiconductor manufacturing project, turning raw point clouds into reliable information for construction and quality assurance.

Key responsibilities

• Process terrestrial laser scan data captured by survey teams.
• Register, align and perform QA/QC on point cloud datasets.
• Identify and resolve registration and data quality issues.
• Prepare structured point‑cloud deliverables for stakeholders.
• Support construction verification and as‑built assessments.
• Produce reports, visual outputs and technical documentation.
• Maintain organized project datasets and reporting trackers.
• Collaborate with surveying, BIM and construction teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience processing terrestrial laser scan data and point clouds.
• Experience with point‑cloud registration and QA/QC workflows.
• Fluent English and full right to work in Germany.
• Desirable experience with BIM models, scan‑to‑model workflows, or projects in semiconductor, industrial or data‑centre sectors.
