Recreation Assistant – Lifeguard & Pool Operator

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Recreation Assistant to oversee lifeguarding duties and operate the pool facilities. The role ensures a safe and enjoyable aquatic environment for guests while supervising assigned lifeguards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform lifeguarding duties, including swimmer rescue and first‑aid administration.
• Direct daily pool operations, monitor filtration systems, maintain water balance, and conduct chemistry tests.
• Supervise and schedule assigned lifeguards, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
• Respond to irregular duties, special recreational events, and night or weekend shifts as required.

Required profile

• Valid USAREUR driver’s license and TMP license.
• Good vision (20/40 or better, corrected or uncorrected).
• Ability to pass background checks and meet probationary requirements.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, including weekends, holidays and nights.

Required skills

• American Red Cross Lifeguard certification (or equivalent).
• CPR‑Pro certification for professional rescuers.
• AED and Oxygen Administration certifications.
• Operation of pool filtration systems and water‑chemistry testing.
