Recreation Assistant (NF-02) – Customer Service & Equipment Support

About the role

The Recreation Assistant (NF-02) works in a patron‑use facility, ensuring visitors receive satisfactory service and safe access to equipment and activities. The role combines customer support, equipment handling, and assistance with special events and classes.

Key responsibilities

• Circulate among patrons to monitor service quality and resolve complaints.
• Provide information, safety instructions, and general guidance on equipment, facilities, and machinery.
• Check out equipment, demonstrate new items, and teach classes or workshops.
• Plan, publicize, and support special events, tournaments, and social activities.
• Offer work guidance to other staff members as needed.

Required profile

• Direct Deposit and Social Security Card are required.
• Meet all qualification, eligibility, and background‑check requirements.
• One‑year probationary period may apply.
• Resume limited to two pages, clearly showing relevant public‑facing experience.
• Experience dealing with the general public is mandatory.

Required skills

• Woodworking experience (highly preferred).
