Reliability Field Engineer – 2‑Year Assignment in Germany

About the role

CAI is looking for a Reliability Field Engineer to join its Operational Readiness team on a two‑year assignment in Germany. You will work hands‑on in the field, gathering equipment data, refining databases, and supporting maintenance and asset‑management recommendations for high‑stakes Life Sciences and Mission‑Critical clients.

Key responsibilities

• Perform on‑site walk‑downs of systems to collect or validate baseline equipment specifications.
• Refine, load, and standardise equipment information and engineering specifications in a central database.
• Collaborate with equipment manufacturers and vendors to develop unique parts lists.
• Review maintenance data, engineering drawings, and technical manuals to communicate reliability findings.
• Draft Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) sheets for systems and equipment.
• Execute quality‑control functions to ensure accurate, complete data delivery to customers.

Required profile

• European citizenship or a valid residence permit for Europe.
• Full availability for a two‑year assignment in Germany.
• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline (e.g., mechanical, electrical, or related).
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to work independently in the field.
