Research Associate – Phase Retrieval & Speech Enhancement (PhD)

About the role

The University of Hamburg invites motivated candidates to join the DASHH Graduate School project on Phase Retrieval in Imaging and Speech Enhancement as a Research Associate (PhD position). You will split your time between academic services, teaching, and cutting‑edge research within an interdisciplinary environment.

Key responsibilities

• Allocate 50% of working time to academic services for the DASHH project.
• Conduct teaching duties (approximately one lecture per semester).
• Engage in research activities related to imaging, speech enhancement, and phase retrieval.
• Pursue independent research and work toward further academic qualifications.

Required profile

• University degree in natural sciences, engineering, computer science, applied mathematics or a related field.
• Preferably a Master’s degree with an excellent academic record.
• Strong interest in interdisciplinary topics and ability to work in a team.
• Motivation to contribute to both teaching and research missions.

Required skills

• Programming (strong background required).
