Researcher – German Policy, Stakeholder Management & Fundraising

Key responsibilities

• Conduct research and analysis on German politics, policy, and related economic and financial developments within E3G’s mandate.
• Support strategy planning, implementation, and coordination, including project planning, monitoring, evaluation, and learning.
• Map, identify, and prioritize stakeholders across government, politics, finance, civil society and the private sector; maintain a stakeholder database.
• Design and deliver stakeholder dialogues, workshops and policy engagement events, handling agenda development, participant coordination and communications.
• Serve as the contact point for German media requests and journalist inquiries.
• Prepare communications products such as presentations, briefings and reports for internal and external audiences.
• Assist with fundraising activities, including concept notes, grant proposals and pitches.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in International Relations, Political Science, Environmental Sciences or a related field.
• Native German speaker with excellent written and spoken English and deep knowledge of the German political ecosystem.
• Proven track record of high performance, analytical and problem‑solving capabilities, strategic and operational thinking, and ability to act as a communications manager.
• Experience planning and delivering workshops and events in a professional setting.
• Strong ability to grasp complex issues quickly, work proactively and independently with high reliability.
