Revenue Accountant

About the role

Monotype is seeking a Revenue Accountant to ensure accurate recording and reporting of revenue transactions. The role focuses on software revenue recognition, contract analysis, and close collaboration with sales and order‑management teams.

Key responsibilities

• Review customer contracts and advise the sales team on revenue implications.
• Post transactions to SAP after critical analysis to ensure correct revenue recognition.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of product offerings and their impact on revenue recognition.
• Apply US GAAP ASC 606 policies in line with current FASB and SEC guidance.
• Collaborate with order management to resolve issues arising from contract processing.
• Reconcile unbilled revenue and perform short‑term and long‑term analyses.

Required profile

• 3+ years of finance experience, preferably in a software company.
• Part‑qualified or similar finance background.
• Fluent in English and German; French language skills are a plus.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and communication abilities.
• Experience in fast‑paced, customer‑focused environments.

Required skills

• Knowledge of US GAAP ASC 606 revenue recognition.
• Proficiency with SAP and Salesforce.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and complex functions.
• Ability to analyse contracts and apply revenue rules to varied scenarios.
