Revenue Accountant

About the role

As a Revenue Accountant you will own the revenue and accounts‑receivable engine of a fast‑growing energy‑tech company. You will turn complex energy contracts, variable pricing and multiple billing cadences into clean, auditable financial numbers that support the company’s growth and Series‑B readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Apply and maintain revenue‑recognition policies (HGB now, IFRS 15 upcoming) across all customer and contract types.
• Translate commercial terms such as variable pricing and multi‑element arrangements into correct accounting treatment and manage deferred revenue and energy accrual schedules.
• Co‑own the end‑to‑end invoicing process, drive AR reconciliations, aging, dunning and collections.
• Execute month‑end close activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analysis and audit‑ready documentation.
• Contribute to billing‑tool rollout and ERP selection, and design automation to replace manual workflows.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in accounting with solid exposure to complex revenue accounting, AR or billing.
• Experience in B2B SaaS, energy or other tech‑enabled businesses is preferred.
• Knowledge of German GAAP (HGB) and familiarity with IFRS 15.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to work independently in a fast‑growing environment.
