Sales Consultant – Plant Protection (Field Sales, Saxony-Anhalt)

About the role

As a Sales Consultant for Plant Protection Products you will be the primary point of contact for farmers, resellers and end‑users in the Saxony‑Anhalt region. You will promote BASF’s crop protection portfolio, organise field events and support customers with tailored solutions to help them achieve sustainable yields.

Key responsibilities

• Manage assigned customer accounts independently, including regular visits and follow‑up.
• Organise and conduct customer events and product demonstrations.
• Utilise defined sales tools and specialist topics to drive product adoption.
• Maintain accurate customer data and visit reports in the CRM system.
• Develop and monitor target agreements with resellers and end users.
• Serve as regional contact for the wholesale sector under the sales team leader.
• Analyse the crop‑protection market, identify trends and formulate sales strategies.
• Continuously expand personal expertise in sales and market development.

Required profile

• Completed commercial or agricultural training, or an equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience in sales within the agricultural or crop‑protection sector.
• Knowledge of complaints management, customer concepts and customer management processes.
• Ability to work independently and develop strong customer relationships.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM systems for data entry and reporting.
