Sales Executive – Academic & Institutional Markets (France & Italy)

About the role

We are looking for a Sales Executive to manage a portfolio of academic, governmental and medical institutions across France and Italy. You will represent Taylor & Francis journals and eBooks, driving new business and nurturing existing relationships with librarians, faculty leaders, research administrators and institutional decision‑makers.

Key responsibilities

• Own a defined portfolio of institutions, understanding each customer’s needs, decision cycles and procurement processes.
• Plan, schedule and conduct online and onsite meetings with key stakeholders to renew subscriptions and close new sales opportunities.
• Apply consultative selling techniques and propose bespoke, value‑adding solutions.
• Share market intelligence, refine strategy and flag risks with pragmatic recommendations.
• Travel regularly within the territory for team meetings, conferences and onsite customer engagements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in B2B sales, preferably within academic, governmental or medical sectors.
• Strong ability to develop and manage a sales pipeline and build long‑term client relationships.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills with a consultative approach.
