Sales Manager Southern Europe

About the role

CMPC, a leading global forest products company, is seeking a Sales Manager for the Southern Europe region. The role covers Spain and Portugal and reports to the Sales Director EMEA, acting as the commercial bridge between customers and CMPC’s operations in Chile.

Key responsibilities

• Manage existing accounts and generate new business across Spain and Portugal.
• Oversee the full commercial cycle including forecasting, pricing, order management and customer service.
• Develop and maintain long‑term relationships with manufacturers, distributors, wholesalers, retailers and industrial clients in the wood products sector.
• Collect and disseminate market intelligence on trends, competition and opportunities within the territory.
• Collaborate closely with the broader CMPC Europe structure and the Sales Director EMEA.

Required profile

• 5–7 years of experience in a commercial role within the wood products industry or a closely related segment (panels, timber, millwork, construction materials).
• Proven track record managing clients in the Iberian markets (Spain & Portugal); experience in other Southern European markets or the Middle East is a plus.
• Fluent in Spanish and English; French and/or Italian are a strong advantage.
• Strong relationship‑building and service mindset with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel at least 30 % of the time, including regular visits to customer sites.
