SAP BTP Platform Architect

About the role

As a SAP BTP Platform Architect you will shape the future of Knauf's SAP landscape, ensuring scalable, secure, and innovative cloud solutions that support the company's global building‑materials business.

Key responsibilities

• Design scalable and secure SAP platform solutions across SAP BTP, ECC, S/4HANA, BDC and SAP Public Cloud, including the SAP integrated toolchain, Signavio and WalkMe.
• Contribute to architectural board decisions together with Enterprise and Domain Architects and support SAP cloud transformation initiatives such as BTP, RISE, Public Cloud and Azure/IaaS.
• Collaborate with product, platform, security, technology services and implementation partners to align architecture decisions, focusing on SAP BTP governance.
• Define and enforce architecture guardrails for SAP BTP covering sub‑accounts, environments, connectivity, identity, service usage, monitoring and support models.
• Support the definition of reusable SAP platform services and evaluate new SAP technologies and cloud‑based services.

Required profile

• Several years of experience in SAP BTP platform architecture, including reference architectures, capability mapping and design patterns.
• Hands‑on engineering experience with SAP BTP, ECC, S/4HANA, BDC and SAP Public Cloud and strong knowledge of SAP lifecycle management.
• Deep expertise in SAP Security, IAM, authorizations, Segregation of Duties, GRC, SAP Cloud ALM and Solution Manager.
• Proven ability to design reliable, scalable, high‑performance solutions and to manage architecture road‑maps, governance and risk.
