SAP Payroll Consultant

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, support, and maintain SAP HCM Payroll / SAP ECP solutions.

• Analyze and troubleshoot payroll processing issues and provide effective resolutions.

• Configure and maintain Payroll Schemas, Personnel Calculation Rules (PCRs), and Wage Types.

• Work with Processing Classes, Evaluation Classes, and Wage Type characteristics.

• Support gross-to-net payroll processing and payroll calculations.

• Analyze payroll results, identify discrepancies, and perform root-cause analysis.

• Support payroll testing, validation, parallel payroll runs, and production deployment.

• Perform payroll configuration changes based on business and statutory requirements.

• Support retroactive accounting, payroll factoring, absence valuation, and time wage type processing.

• Work closely with HR, Payroll, Finance, IT, and business stakeholders to resolve payroll-related issues.

• Support payroll integrations and interfaces with SAP HCM, ECP, Finance, and third-party systems.

• Prepare functional documentation, configuration specifications, test cases, and process documentation.

• Support payroll localization and compliance requirements for Germany and Turkey.

• Participate in payroll projects, enhancements, migrations, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Provide support for AMS or outsourced payroll delivery environments, as applicable.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with SAP HCM Payroll / SAP Payroll.

• Experience with SAP Employee Central Payroll (ECP) is highly preferred.

• Strong knowledge of:

  • Payroll Schemas

  • Personnel Calculation Rules (PCRs)

  • Wage Types

  • Processing Classes

  • Evaluation Classes

  • Payroll Areas

  • Gross-to-Net Processing

  • Retroactive Accounting

  • Payroll Factoring

  • Absence Valuation

  • Time Wage Type Processing

• Strong experience in SAP Payroll configuration and troubleshooting.

• Experience with payroll testing, validation, and issue resolution.

• Understanding of payroll integrations and interfaces.

• Experience working with HR/Payroll business stakeholders.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Germany Payroll / German Payroll Localization.

• Experience with Turkey Payroll / Turkish Payroll Localization.

• Knowledge of German payroll tax and social insurance requirements.

• Knowledge of Turkish labor and payroll regulations.

• Experience with Turkish Laws 4691 and 5746 and related payroll incentives.

• Knowledge of PIT / ACTIO and CMPER / CMPERMM01.

• Experience in AMS, managed services, or outsourced payroll environments.

• Multi-country payroll implementation or support experience.

• SAP S/4HANA Payroll experience.
