SAP S/4HANA Basis Engineer – Sovereign Cloud Delivery (Germany)

About the role

We are looking for an intermediate‑level SAP S/4HANA (Basis) Engineer who will manage daily cloud operations of our Sovereign Cloud offering. You will work across the Service Delivery Lifecycle to analyse, design, build, test, implement and maintain multiple system components and applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, monitor, maintain and optimise SAP S/4HANA systems for the Sovereign Cloud in Germany.
• Set up a multi‑system landscape architecture and handle integration between heterogeneous technologies.
• Provide on‑call support for incidents and performance degradations.
• Manage periodic maintenance activities, system refreshes, patching and upgrades.
• Continuously improve implementation documentation.
• Partner with the engineering team to enhance cloud operation processes.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of SAP experience, with at least 1 year hands‑on SAP S/4HANA.
• Experience in implementation, upgrade or support of SAP S/4HANA systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Exposure to disaster‑recovery planning and testing.
• Problem‑solving mindset with strong troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis skills.
• Willingness to work in a 24/7 on‑call environment and flexible shifts.
• Readiness to obtain a governmental security clearance.
