Security Architect (m/f/d) – Hybrid/Remote (Berlin)

About the role

We are looking for a Security Architect to design vendor-neutral, robust security solutions for our clients. Working in a hybrid setting based in Berlin with remote flexibility, you will translate complex requirements into clear architectures and guide their implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Design vendor-neutral security architectures for diverse client environments.
• Conduct threat modeling and risk assessments, delivering prioritized recommendations.
• Translate regulatory frameworks such as NIS2 and ISO 27001 into actionable security concepts.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to guide implementation of security designs.
• Contribute architectural expertise to our products, including GrayCheck and GrayScope.

Required profile

• Several years of experience in security architecture, preferably with exposure to CISO, SOC or architectural roles.
• Strong understanding of zero-trust principles, network and cloud security.
• Proven experience in threat modeling and risk assessment.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as NIS2, ISO 27001 and BSI.
• Excellent communication skills in German and English, able to convey technical depth to both engineers and management.
