Senior Accountant (Bilanzbuchhalter) – Global Finance

About the role

Appinio is seeking a tech‑savvy Senior Accountant to lead the financial integrity of its global operations. You will act as the technical architect of the accounting function, ensuring accurate data while building a scalable, automated ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and optimise the financial ledgers of the Appinio Group, guaranteeing 100% accuracy and compliance.
• Partner with the Team Lead Accounting to deliver fast, clean month‑end and year‑end closes (HGB) for the German entity and its subsidiaries.
• Prepare documentation and schedules for annual audits, serving as the internal expert for auditors.
• Drive implementation and optimisation of the tool‑stack (Light, DATEV, Lucanet) to create a fully digital accounting function.
• Act as a technical gatekeeper, reviewing accounting topics, ensuring data robustness and reducing manual work.
• Provide technical sparring on accounting, tax and compliance issues and support international consolidation (Spain, UK, US, Colombia).

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of professional accounting experience, preferably with German GAAP (HGB).
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, remote‑first environment.
• Ambitious, detail‑oriented and comfortable acting as a technical expert.
