Senior Accountant (German) – Up to €80k – Düsseldorf

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Accountant who is fluent in German to lead the financial operations of our German subsidiaries, based in Düsseldorf. The role will drive the transition to an internal accounting function and implement the Odoo accounting platform, ensuring accurate reporting and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily financial operations for four German subsidiaries.
• Oversee the full accounting cycle, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, and payroll.
• Implement and maintain the Odoo accounting system to improve efficiency.
• Prepare consolidated financial statements and reports for central teams.
• Ensure compliance with German tax laws, reporting requirements, and legal obligations.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support business initiatives.
• Provide financial analysis and insights for decision‑making.
• Maintain relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulators.

Required profile

• Minimum B2 level German language proficiency.
• Proven experience in senior accounting roles, preferably within a multi‑entity environment.
• Strong knowledge of German tax regulations and financial reporting standards.
• Ability to work onsite in Düsseldorf or relocate.
