Senior Accountant – Venture Capital

About the role
Our client, a leading global venture capital firm, is looking for a Senior Accountant to join its finance team. The role is hands‑on, supporting multiple fund entities and ensuring accurate financial reporting under both IFRS and German GAAP.
Key responsibilities
- Manage day‑to‑day financial accounting and bookkeeping for several entities.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and German GAAP (HGB).
- Support year‑end close and statutory reporting, including the preparation of accounts.
- Serve as the primary contact for external auditors and assist throughout the audit process.
- Liaise with, and oversee, third‑party service providers such as fund administrators and auditors.
Required profile
- Proven experience in venture capital, private equity or investment management, either on the fund side or within a service provider/ audit firm.
- Fluent in German and English.
- Strong knowledge of German GAAP (HGB) and IFRS.
