Senior Aerodynamics Engineer – Aerodynamic Data Modeling

About the role

Airbus Defence and Space is seeking a Senior Aerodynamics Engineer to lead aerodynamic data modelling for high‑agility fighter aircraft. You will integrate wind‑tunnel, flight‑test and numerical simulation data to create robust aerodynamic datasets that support stability, control, performance, loads and aeroelastic analyses.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the aerodynamic modelling strategy for fighter aircraft programmes.
• Integrate wind‑tunnel, flight‑test and CFD data across the flight envelope.
• Lead analysis of aerodynamic characteristics and provide technical oversight for test campaigns.
• Develop and maintain aerodynamic datasets for stability, control, performance, loads and aeroelastic studies.
• Support production by assessing aerodynamic impacts of non‑conformities, repairs and in‑service incidents.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a senior aerodynamicist on military aircraft programmes.
• Strong technical leadership and ability to guide multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent analytical skills with a focus on data‑driven modelling.
