Senior Android Software Engineer

About the role

Flix is looking for a Senior Android Software Engineer to shape the future of its mobile travel experience. You will work within the Android team of the Customer Experience Stream, delivering high‑quality, scalable applications that make travel seamless for millions of users worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Android applications with a focus on performance, scalability, and user experience.
• Collaborate with iOS, backend, and feature teams to ensure smooth cross‑platform integration.
• Drive technical improvements, including architecture enhancements and codebase modernization.
• Optimize UI, accessibility, battery usage, memory management, and load times.
• Use analytics and metrics to make data‑driven decisions for performance and engagement.
• Mentor fellow engineers, conduct code reviews, and share best practices.

Required profile

• 6+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong expertise in Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, MVVM, Coroutines, and Android architecture patterns.
• Solid understanding of SOLID principles and clean code practices.
• Experience working in agile, cross‑functional teams.
