Senior Backend Engineer

About the role

Peec AI is building the data plane for AI visibility, handling millions of chats, scrapes, citations and analytics. This senior backend engineer will own the systems behind scraping, chat‑processing, source‑ingestion and analytics, making them more reliable, cheaper, faster and easier for the team to reason about.

Key responsibilities

• Own and improve the scraping, chat‑processing, source‑ingestion and analytics infrastructure.
• Debug provider outages, design better queueing models, ship TypeScript service changes and write clear post‑mortems.
• Ensure reliability, performance and cost efficiency across the entire data pipeline.

Required profile

• 5+ years of backend, platform, infrastructure or distributed systems engineering experience in production.
• Deep hands‑on TypeScript experience and strong understanding of queues, retries, rate limits, idempotency, distributed locks and webhooks.
• Proven ability to operate under real production pressure such as incidents, provider outages and noisy alerts.
