Senior Banking Consultant

About the role

FiSer Consulting is seeking a Senior Banking Consultant to lead transformation projects for leading banks and financial institutions in Germany. The role combines project leadership, client advisory and business development within a dynamic consulting environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end banking transformation programmes covering operations, risk, compliance, finance, regulatory change and digital initiatives.
• Define project scope, timelines, budgets and stakeholder engagement plans, ensuring delivery against agreed outcomes.
• Produce insights, recommendations and executive updates for senior client stakeholders.
• Advise clients on emerging banking trends, regulatory developments and opportunities for transformation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of consultants, industry experts and client personnel.
• Mentor junior consultants and contribute to the growth of FiSer’s Banking practice in Germany.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in banking, financial services, fintech or consulting.
• Proven track record of managing complex transformation, change or implementation projects.
• Strong knowledge of banking domains such as risk, finance, operations, regulatory change or post‑merger integration.
• Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Leadership experience with a focus on team development and mentorship.
• Fluent in German and English, currently based in Germany with valid work authorization.
