Senior Buyer (m/f/d)

About the role

LeGer GmbH is looking for a Senior Buyer to shape and execute the buying strategy for its fashion portfolio. You will own the end‑to‑end purchasing process, from market research and product selection to vendor management and inventory control, ensuring the assortment meets brand vision, customer demand and margin targets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a buying strategy aligned with brand and business goals.
• Conduct market research, analyse sales data and customer feedback to guide purchasing decisions.
• Maintain and expand the supplier base, negotiate terms, pricing and contracts.
• Curate a balanced product assortment that blends trend‑driven and timeless pieces.
• Monitor inventory levels, manage slow‑moving stock and support markdowns and promotions.
• Oversee day‑to‑day order processing, data maintenance and bulk approvals.
• Manage the buying budget, track financial performance and drive cost‑saving initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising or a related field.
• Strong analytical and commercial mindset with a keen eye for fashion trends.
• Deep understanding of the retail landscape and customer behavior.
• Hands‑on, proactive attitude and ability to thrive in a fast‑moving team.
