About the role
The Senior Director serves as the strategic right hand to the ALM General Manager, blending business strategy, organizational execution, operational governance, and cross‑functional leadership to drive clarity, alignment, and execution across the ALM organization.
Key responsibilities
- Lead creation and maintenance of ALM strategy, FY initiatives, key results, and long‑term priorities.
- Own ALM business planning, including Segment Business Plan, Annual Operating Plan inputs, and multiyear strategic frameworks.
- Ensure alignment between strategy, financial assumptions, product plans, and execution priorities.
- Act as integrator between ALM strategy and corporate/segment planning cycles, managing kickoffs, reviews, and leadership checkpoints.
- Drive follow‑through on strategic decisions, ensuring organizational readiness and disciplined execution.
- Partner with the General Manager on prioritization, communication, leadership coordination, and decision preparation.
- Manage leadership meeting cadences, agenda strategy, pre‑read quality, and decision‑making hygiene.
- Drive cross‑functional alignment across Product, R&D, GTM, Services, Finance, and Operations for ALM priorities.
- Prepare executive‑level content such as OKR narratives, progress updates, risk escalations, town‑hall storylines, and strategic messaging.
- Own the ALM leadership governance model, including planning cadences, initiative reviews, KPI cycles, and strategic checkpoints.
- Maintain transparency and consistency across all ALM initiatives, dependencies, and reporting standards.
- Coordinate cross‑segment product planning and Product Ops alignment to ensure visibility of constraints and dependencies.
- Partner with HR to integrate people insights into leadership decisions and drive organizational health.
Required profile
- Proven senior leadership experience in a technology or software organization.
- Strong track record in strategic planning, execution, and translating strategy into actionable workstreams.
- Excellent cross‑functional coordination and communication skills.
- Experience managing executive‑level meetings, agendas, and decision processes.
- Familiarity with OKR frameworks and governance models.
- Ability to partner with HR on talent, organizational bottlenecks, and overall health.
