Senior Director, Public Policy & Affairs – Germany

About the role

The Senior Director, Public Policy & Affairs for Germany will shape the external environment to enable sustainable, responsible growth for The CocaCola Company. Operating at the intersection of public policy, reputation and sustainability, you will define and execute a forward‑looking public affairs strategy that protects the company’s license to win and drives consumer‑centric outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Define and deliver the Germany public affairs strategy aligned with Europe OU priorities and commercial plans.
• Lead high‑impact engagement with government, regulators, trade associations, NGOs, academia and community leaders.
• Partner with Communications to craft integrated external narratives and manage issues or crises.
• Localise Europe OU sustainability commitments for Germany, overseeing packaging circularity, climate, water and responsible marketing initiatives.
• Integrate public affairs insights into portfolio, packaging and route‑to‑market decisions, collaborating with bottling partners and cross‑functional teams.

Required profile

• Senior leader with extensive experience in public affairs, government relations or regulatory strategy, preferably in the consumer‑goods sector.
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and build coalitions across public and private sectors.
• Deep understanding of German regulatory landscape on packaging, nutrition, advertising, fiscal measures and sustainability.
• Strong analytical mindset to translate policy signals into business‑relevant risk and opportunity assessments.
