Senior Expert, Manufacturing SC Process Design and Transformation

About the role

A global Center of Excellence strengthens production planning and detailed scheduling across a network of healthcare manufacturing sites. This role helps deliver reliable healthcare supply by improving planning processes, enabling data-driven decisions and raising planning capabilities. It may also be based at the headquarters in Darmstadt, Germany.

Key responsibilities

• Translate strategic business goals into robust production planning processes using supply chain expertise, process design skills, analytics and SAP APO PP/DS knowledge.
• Provide functional leadership for complex incidents, recurring process issues and cross-site improvement initiatives, supporting transformation of existing planning solutions and future SAP E-PPDS capabilities.
• Ensure processes, master data and planning models reflect pharmaceutical manufacturing constraints such as quality, materials, capacity, campaigns, sequencing and shelf life.
• Define performance indicators, use data to find bottlenecks and recurring deviations, and turn insights into sustainable improvements.
• Contribute to test strategies, acceptance criteria, cutover and release plans, post-deployment stabilization and site-level adoption of new ways of working.
• Develop training, coaching and knowledge-sharing initiatives that promote common standards and planning excellence.

Required profile

• Several years of experience in supply chain planning, production planning and scheduling, ideally in pharmaceutical, life sciences, chemicals or another highly regulated manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience designing, improving or deploying planning processes across multiple manufacturing sites, preferably in a global program, CoE, template organization or matrix structure.
• Strong understanding of production planning and detailed scheduling principles, including modeling manufacturing constraints.
• Experience with supply chain data, analytics, dashboards and performance indicators.
• Ability to explain technical implications clearly to non-technical stakeholders and to work across planning, production, procurement, quality, warehousing and IT in an international, multicultural setting.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.

Required skills

• SAP APO PP/DS or SAP E-PPDS, including planning and scheduling, functional troubleshooting and SAP S/4HANA master-data dependencies.
• Supply chain data analytics and dashboard interpretation.
