Senior Full-Stack Web Engineer

About the role

IMAGO is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Web Engineer to own and evolve customer‑facing systems on its media aggregation platform. You will work on high‑impact initiatives such as search improvements, SEO optimisation, localisation, and performance enhancements while helping to build a new web stack.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy end‑to‑end features from concept to production.
• Build and maintain a modern media aggregation website using Next.js, TypeScript and Tailwind.
• Design and implement backend services and APIs with TypeScript and Python.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers and Designers to shape solutions.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and continuously improve system design.
• Refactor legacy components to increase maintainability and consistency.
• Ensure reliability, scalability and performance through testing, monitoring and CI/CD practices.
• Lead code reviews and mentor junior engineers.

Required profile

• 5+ years of full‑stack web development experience.
• Strong expertise with React, Next.js, TypeScript and Tailwind.
• Solid backend experience building APIs and services in Python (or comparable language).
• Deep understanding of RESTful APIs, microservice architecture and database design.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and cloud environments such as Hetzner.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing (unit, integration, e2e).
• Ability to think in systems, take ownership and drive technical decisions collaboratively.
• Comfortable working in cross‑functional, international teams.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
