Senior Fullstack Engineer – SAP BTP & UI5

About the role

As a Senior Fullstack Engineer you will own end‑to‑end features of Serrala’s payment and finance automation platform, spanning the SAP BTP data model to Freestyle UI5 screens. You will shape the technical direction, drive architecture decisions and champion AI‑augmented development within a remote‑first, outcome‑driven team.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and roll out features from RAP business objects through CDS modeling, OData services and UI5 screens.
• Lead technical design, create architecture decision records and run proofs of concept aligned with product owners.
• Enforce SAP Clean Core principles across all production code.
• Integrate AI/LLM tools for code generation, refactoring, testing and documentation, raising the team’s AI maturity.
• Conduct code reviews, pair programming and knowledge‑sharing sessions to mentor junior and mid‑level engineers.
• Collaborate in small, autonomous product teams with direct communication to product owners and architects.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with ABAP‑OO, OData and REST.
• Several years of hands‑on experience with the ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP), including managed/unmanaged scenarios, behavior definitions, draft handling, determinations, validations and actions.
• Proven track record of delivering RAP‑based applications to production and justifying design decisions.
• Strong command of CDS Views, business objects and service bindings (OData V2/V4).
• Solid experience building SAPUI5 Freestyle applications and extending Fiori Elements with custom components.
