Senior Group Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Group Accountant to join our fast‑growing renewable energy company operating across Europe. Based in Berlin or Dresden, you will work in a hybrid setting, supporting the financial integrity of our wind and solar projects while collaborating with internal and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in line with HGB and IFRS.
• Organise, optimise and monitor the group‑wide monthly reporting process.
• Reconcile group and intercompany transactions and produce monthly reconciliation statements.
• Present sub‑group results together with the Controlling department.
• Coordinate proactively with auditors, service providers and internal stakeholders.
• Develop and enhance group accounting processes and standards.
• Lead strategic projects and sub‑projects, providing technical guidance and mentoring to colleagues.

Required profile

• Commercial apprenticeship with chartered accountant training or a university degree in a related field.
• At least 7 years of group accounting experience in an international environment.
• Proven track record in managing projects and implementing standardised processes.
• Fluent in German and English; additional language is a plus.
