Senior Java Developer / Tech Lead

About the role

As a Senior Java Developer with disciplinary and technical leadership responsibilities, you will drive the technical success of our projects, delivering high‑quality, secure backend applications and shaping scalable microservice architectures.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Java applications using LTS versions (Java 17, 21, 25) and Spring Boot.
• Architect and evolve scalable microservice solutions with clear interfaces, domain logic and long‑term maintainability.
• Utilize Spring Cloud (Gateway, Config Server) and Resilience4j for robust communication and fault tolerance.
• Implement security using Spring Security, OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect.
• Conduct thorough code reviews, establish testing strategies and continuously improve software quality.
• Lead a small development team, conduct performance discussions, provide feedback and support personal development.
• Collaborate with other teams and stakeholders, independently analyze and solve complex technical challenges.

Required profile

• Extensive senior‑level Java development experience with current LTS versions and deep knowledge of Spring Boot.
• Strong expertise in Spring Cloud, Resilience4j, and security frameworks (Spring Security, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect).
• Proven track record designing, evolving and operating scalable microservice architectures.
• Experience leading small developer teams, including personnel management and coaching.
• Good knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Linux and CI/CD processes.
• Excellent communication in German (native level) and very good English.
