Senior Legal Counsel – Commercial Law & Intellectual Property

About the role

Delivery Hero is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to lead commercial law and intellectual property matters from its Berlin headquarters. The role supports the company’s rapid growth across more than 65 markets, ensuring legal compliance while enabling innovative business initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide advice on complex commercial transactions and high‑profile investigations, litigation and arbitration across multiple jurisdictions.
• Offer product counseling and guidance on platform regulation initiatives, supporting new business opportunities and strategic partnerships.
• Develop and execute Delivery Hero’s intellectual property strategy, managing trademark and domain portfolios and enforcing rights across brands and markets.
• Advise on IP and IT aspects of M&A transactions, including post‑merger integration and separation activities.
• Design and implement scalable legal‑operations initiatives, harmonising internal legal processes across 65+ markets and leveraging technology, including AI tools.

Required profile

• Fully qualified to practice law in Germany (Volljurist).
• Minimum 6 years of post‑qualification experience in a reputable law firm or in‑house legal department.
